- Made with top quality Canadian poplar wood. Generally speaking, there are four types of wood that are used for stretcher bars: Paulownia, Fir, Pine, and Poplar. Because of its density, water content, and lack of knots, poplar is widely considered to be the best choice for top quality stretcher bars.
- 1 Ύ deep (depth is how much frame will hang from wall) and with a thickness of 1 5/8

- Slots within bars starting at 30 means that there is no need for a hammer, screw, or staples. No need for cross bars in sizes under 30. For example, if you are making a frame that is 24 x 40, you should get a 24 cross bar that will go half way down the 40 in the frame. You do not need a 40 cross bar in this example to go half way down the 24 as this is under 30. Cross bars are actually smaller than size attached to them so that they can properly fit inside the frame. For example, a 24 cross bar is actually approximately 21 Ύ long.
- Stretcher bars are rounded and well beveled so that there is minimum contact with the canvas. This is very important. Stretcher bars that have a sharp edge will cut into canvas over time risking canvas to rip.
